Hearing some great things coming off from Mr Ford from the Hotel headquarters at Hotel Paranoia Films LTD where last week we filmed some scenes with some of our great cast including actress Lucy Drive, Michael Dacre for ‘The Tilbury Run’ with the ace cinematographer Sean Cronin.
Had a great chat and a catch up on the phone just now with my mentor James Ford the writer and director and looking forward to filming some more scenes next week in London and now I have a little time maybe I can help as we hope to lock the final few of an already brilliant cast down.
‘The Tilbury Run’ is set against the backdrop of the emerging nineties club culture where hedonism drugs and music clashed headlong with the Essex criminal underworld.
The fact that the Essex area was a hotbed of activity in the 90′s. Ford used the Rettendon murders not as a storyline but as a real world element to set the tale in time and space. The Essex boys films he felt have been done to death to try and retell a story in which we all know the end, is difficult enough without an angle. The Tilbury Run is not a gangster film full of drugs and guns. It is a story of Hope a story about family and trust a story about how if you reach far enough you just might make it.
The Tilbury Run – Look out for it.
