So your walking down you own road minding your own business probably thinking about what you going to cook the family for tea tonight or maybe your off to work or just out fior a brisk walk bur have you ever wondered what to do when the zombies arrive? Now you’ll have the upper hand, thanks to this ingenious interactive survival map, created by Jeff Merrick and other designers from Doejo. Zoom in to find every anti-zombie amenity in your area including hospitals, military bases and cemeteries (for when you’ve dealt with the undead). This is fun and fantastic simply put your postcode like i have done showing my location into the website by clicking the link and you will have your own survival map of where you live when those zombies arrive.
While I’m on about zombies I have found this and it looks zombie proof to me. I would like to introduce you to my new could be home. This is Turnip Rock lust off the Michigan shore in Lake Huron a large turnip-shaped rock-island. The unique shape is the result of thousands of years of erosion by storm waves crashing against the rock. So if you hear of an outbreak of the undead and want to know where I am then look no further. Twenty-foot-high trees and other vegetation have grown at the top of the isolated rock and that is where I shall build myself a tree house and within I will have a sofa with big cushions and I will be hiding behind them because zombies scare me and I don’t want to be eaten by one. 🙂
Three released film Stills from ‘Cockenys vs Zombies’ from the distributor Optimum Releasing
The first feature to come out of James Harris and Mark Lane’s production outfit The Tea Shop & Film Company is a zombie comedy adventure which is being distributed in the UK by Optimum Releasing.
Synopsis: Cockneys vs Zombies is the story of Andy (Harry Treadaway) and Terry (Rasmus Hardiker): two hapless cockney brothers who try to save their grandad’s (Alan Ford) care home by robbing a bank. At the same time, a virus sweeps across East London turning all the inhabitants into flesh eating zombies. Faced with hordes of undead zombies, the challenge is to rescue a home full of tough old folks, escape with the loot, and get out of London alive!
From the director Matthias Hoene and written by James Moran starring Harry Treadaway, Rasmus Hardiker, Alan Ford, Honor Blackman, Michelle Ryan, Richard Briers, Dudley Sutton, Georgina Hale, Ashley Thomas and Tony Selby It details the story of a group of bank robbers who unlock a 350-year old vault only to unleash an army of zombies.
Image above shows a bit of the illustration work for ‘Dead Roots’ which is a comic anthology from the writer of ‘Cockneys vs Zombies’ James Moran. Based on the initial outbreak of a zombie plague the anthology focuses on the emotional state and experiences of everyday people, and their journeys as they search to find their loved ones in an apocalyptic setting. The anthology will consist of multiple short stories of related – by blood or love – characters as they come to grips with this new horrific environment. The stories will include flashbacks and/or items of significance, to expand on their relationships and motivations, and bind the characters together.
